Bio:
Kate Cashman has loved drawing as long as she can remember. As a child she began studying under a local artist at the age of ten. By age twelve, she was working in pastels which gave her a love of color, oil painting followed at the age of fourteen. She went on to study and graduate from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia.
She has has been an art educator since 2005. Kate is very involved with the teaching os summer camps with the AI&G.
As she teaches, she is always developing new courses to enhance and improve the void that some of her students have within their art skills. At her own studio, Random Juxtaposition, in Ocean Pines, Kate teaches Oils, Acrylics, Watercolor, Pastel, Drawing, Color Theory for Painters as well as many workshops that she develops to help her students grow and find their artistic voice. She is eager to share her love of art with those she comes in contact with, around her. She teaches from ages five and up. Creating art provides her with an inner peace and time for reflection from the hectic world.
Kate has served as the Education Director at AI&G since 2009.
